SPECIAL SECTION : VOLUNTEER SPEAK

Birthdays are always special, One of our very special volunteer is celebrating her birthday on 17th March, We would like to thank her for her contribution in Aashayein Foundation and make her day more special with our special section Volunteer Speak covering her interview.

Pallavi is an Instrumentation Engineer from R V College of Engineering and currently working with Schneider Electric as Automation Engineer. She came to know about Aashayein through one of her friend and colleague Ankit. She is with Aashayein Foundation since then and has been integral part of the SA activity from the past 2 years.

She was keenly interested in teaching English to the kids and bringing them on par to the private school educated children. She started teaching English to the 3rd standard at SVK school. With this experience and effort she put her entire efforts in improvising the syllabus and changing the structure of the school teaching volunteer staff. She took the role of School Leader and implemented a class wise hierarchy of the volunteers for better teaching by the AF volunteers. Her dedication and commitment inspired many more  volunteers and we now have a big team working towards this. She was also actively involved in organizing committee of UDAY . She being a trained dancer enjoys teaching dance to kids during the AF annual events.

We wish Pallavi a very happy birthday. Aashayein Foundation's representative interviewed Pallavi. Please click here to read Pallavi's interview

SPECIAL SECTION : AASHAYEIN AT TWESTIVAL

Aashayein Foundation is chosen as partner NGO for this year's HydTwestival. After two weeks of extensive research and understanding, the HydTwestival has finally choosen Aashayein Foundation as the Partner NGO. The team evaluated over 100 Non Profit Organization and shortlisted 10 of them for final consideration. The factors of selection being:

  1. The impact they can create with the funds we raise (out of all the NGOs which showed interest the direct impact which Aashayein would create was 2 times higher when compared to others).
  2. We also looked at local volunteer requirement which an NGO has. We strongly beleive that if we can attract more volunteers towards Aashayein it would create more impact when compared to the funds we generate.
  3. Local presence of the NGO (both online and offline), this was the final criteria to select an NGO. We looked at NGOs which have good presence in Hyderabad and Aashayein's strong presence in corporates.
