PA activity is on the roll with a great news! AF under its Pustaka Abhiyana project has ventured to undertake the development of 6 schools in Bagepalli. More news about this is in our special section for PA.


Walkathon preparations have gained momentum. Lots of volunteers have got into the Phase 1 of walkathon preparations. We are now moving to the Phase 2 of preparations. Please join us if you think you can contribute to the cause.

The current efforts are channelized in obtaining sponsorships for the event. Please drop a line to our Volunteer Relations team if you have something to share/help.

Pustaka Abhiyana | Saturday 30th July 2011 (SPECIAL SECTION)


GIFT YOUR VILLAGE

Under the "Gift your village" program, Aashayein Foundation has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Govt. of Karnataka to develop 6 schools in Bagepalli, Chikkaballapura. As a part of this activity, notebooks will be distributed on Saturday, 30th July, 2011 in the school.


About "Gift your village" program:

'Gift your village' is a program started by the Aashayein Foundation, under its Pustaka Abhiyana project. The Pustaka Abhiyana project addresses the infrastructure needs of the schools thereby making it a better place to learn. The objectives of the Pustaka Abhiyana are 

  •      Identify kids/schools not having access to basic infrastructure
  •      Improve the condition of the schools by prioritizing their needs
  •      Act as a supporting structure for the schools and address their infrastructure needs
  •      Work towards ensuring the availability of all the required facilities in schools.

Help yourself to reach Cantonment Railway station. The road in front of Cantonment Railway Station is Station road. Continue on this road (for a short distance) and then take the Queens road to the right. Continue on this road until you find Congress office on right and a bus stand on your left. After the bus stand, you will find J.J technologies to the left. Turn left after this, which leads to Venkatappa road. Just a little ahead on the left is Asha Deep.

 

People coming by bus can get down at Indian Express and reach Queens road. But for people coming in vehicles, this is one way. So have to go to Cantonment (Indian Express - Cunningham Road - Millers Road - Cantonment - Station Road) and follow the route as above.
