Dear All,

 

      'Aashayein Foundation Summer Camp 2010' has reached the last leg of its journey. Al-Ameen school witnessed the Summer Camp closing ceremony last weekend, on Saturday May 16th 2010.  

       This weekend, two more schools bid adieu to the fun and learning experience. Be there to celebrate the enthusiasm of both the students and the volunteers and congratulate them for their efforts.

Summer Camp 2010 - Learn to Express!

 

Summer Camp 2010 was an attempt at the scholastic development of students at Government and Government aided schools. With an abundance of energy that our students are and an enthusiastic bunch of volunteers on board, we organized a five week Summer Camp for students of three schools across Bangalore

Shikshana Abhiyana Workshop : 

 

Aashayein Foundation cordially invites the volunteers of Shikshana Abhiyana (SA), old and new to ‘Shikshana Abhiyana Workshop’ on May 29th and 30th 2010. The invitation is also extended to people interested in the activities of Aashayein Foundation.

The agenda of the workshop is as follows:

 

1) A brief introduction to Aashayein Foundation (AF) and its main projects.

2) Shikshana Abhiyana(SA) - The structure, roles and responsibilities

3) Presentation of the syllabus document.

4) Q & A session with a teaching professional (tips on effective teaching, maintaining discipline, teaching difficult topics, etc.)

Breakfast Serving on Saturday, May 22nd 2010 and Sunday, May 23rd 2010:

 

On Saturday, the breakfast will be served at Summer Camp at SVK and SG Palya School. The details of the school are mentioned under the first announcement.

 

As we are pulling down the curtains for the Summer Camp on Saturday, we are resuming with our zonal Sunday Breakfast Serving activity from Sunday, 23rd May 2010. Vasanth Nagar construction site is home to about 50 families with about 50 kids. After the Breakfast serving we will survey the site for children who could be admitted into schools this academic year 2010-2011.

If you are coming via Millers Road, you will get Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Hospital on right side. Just adjacent to the hospital you will find a road, take right here. Continue straight till u reach a dead end. At the dead end take left, after taking left take first left again. The construction site is at a short distance after taking the turn.

 

If you are coming via Queens Road (from Cantonment towards Indian Express) you will find a congress office on right side. Immediately after the congress office you will find a turn, take right here (this is Guru Nanak Bhavan Road). Continue on this road till u reach dead end, take right at the dead end and then immediate left. The construciton site is at a short distance after taking the turn.
