Reach City Railway Station. Take cottonpet road and follow straight for around 500 mts. You will find Cottenpet Police station towards right. Cross the signal to find St. Joseph Boys high School (on Left) and St. Teresa Girls School (on Right). The next compound is St. Marys' convent (Maria Nilaya is in the same compond).

| | GIFT YOUR VILLAGE | Saturday 8th January 2011
| Aashayein Foundation invites you to be a part of its first "Gift your village" program for year 2011 in Kolar on Saturday, 8th January 2011. Under the "Gift your village" program, Aashayein Foundation has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the govt of Karnataka to develop a school in Kolar. As part of this, articles including notebooks, water purifiers, chairs and other stationery will be distributed on Saturday, 8th Jan, 2010 in the school. Along with this, the Shambu charitable trust will be distributing sport equipments, plates and tumblers. About "Gift your village" program:
'Gift your village' is a program started by the Aashayein Foundation, under its Pustaka Abhiyana project. The Pustaka Abhiyana project addresses the infrastructure needs of the schools thereby making it a better place to learn. The objectives of the Pustaka Abhiyana are
* Identify kids/schools not having access to basic infrastructure
* Improve the condition of the schools by prioritizing their needs
* Act as a supporting structure for the schools and address their infrastructure needs
* Work towards ensuring the availability of all the required facilities in schools.
Those who are interested to join please confirm by phone or email to contact persons mentioned mentioned latest by Jan 6th. As many volunteers are planning to travel from Bangalore we can try to assist you in carpooling with other volunteers.

Take the old madras road from bangalore towards Kolar till Hoskote. At Hoskote, go under the flyover and take a left towards Chintamani and drive till you reach Chintamani. From there take the route towards Srinivaspur. At Srinivaspur, you can ask for Yeldur village. Yeldur is around 10-12 km from Srinivaspur.
