SPECIAL SECTION : Aashayein Foundation at Twestival 2011
"Congratulations and thanks to each one of you! Twestival was a global event organized in over 80 cities of the world on 24th March 2011 where organizers raised funds for their city charity. For Hyderabad Twestival, Aashayein Foundation was the official NGO partner. On 24th March, dinner buffet was organized as offline fund-raiser event where India-Australia quarter-final match of World Cup Cricket was screened. Approx 75 people attended this event and contributed towards the cause by buying the entry tickets. GiveIndia was the partner of HydTwestival and provided the platform to the donors of Aashayein to raise funds. With the support of everyone, Aashayein was able to raise Rs. 1,01,097 as donation which would be used for the education of the children and this donation was possible .Being the Indian city with max. amount of donation received and max. no. of unique donors, we won Rs. 1 lakh as GiveIndia grant money. SPECIAL SECTION : SUMMER CAMP 2011
The summer holidays for the children will begin soon and we want these holidays to be productive for these children. Summer camp is such an attempt for strengthening the bond between a child to its school. During summer camp various activities have been planned for the children keeping in mind the concept of 'learning with fun'. The summer camp will be held at 3 schools which are already a part of the Shikshana Abhiyana Project.
