Soumali completed her B-Tech from West Bengal University of Technology in 2007. After which she came to Bangalore and started working with LG-CNS. Where her friend Ankur, an active volunteer of AF introduced her to Aashayein foundation. Since then she is with AF and has been integral part of various AF programs and events mainly BMKS program. She is currently working with Mindtree Ltd as a Software Engineer.
She had participated in BMKS mentorship program last year. This year she has been an integral part of BMKS survey, test and interviewing the kids and parents. She has shown a lot of commitment in volunteering which motivates others too. Her hobbies include singing, listening to music, reading, travelling, and sketching. . BMKS Activity |Saturday 11th June 2011 |
We have two activities planned for BMKS this Saturday.
Date: Saturday, 11 June, 2011 Venue: National Games Village (NGV) slum area, Koramangala Route Map: NGV Koramangala. We would be paying the school fees for the kids selected for sponsorship. We have selected about 40 kids who are in different schools near the area, i.e, in more than 15 schools. Volunteers participating on this day would be visiting any one or two schools and paying the fees for the kids from that school. We would be having the selection process for kids. We would be conducting a test and also interviews for more than 200 kids and based on the test and interview scores, and other factors, we would be selecting a fixed number of kids for sponsorship from Aashayein. Volunteers would be assisting in conducting the test and interviews.
